What's New for 2003.

New projects for summer 2003 include the development of an integrated Electronic Point of Sale system for a Newport retail outlet.  This system incorporates a variety of hardware and software components, the heart of the system being Sage Line 50 version 9 accounting software.  The hardware platform consists of two PC's linked using 100 Mbit networking.  One machine operates as a point of sale till, the other is the back office accounting computer.  The till is equipped with an Epson point of sale receipt printer, a handheld laser barcode scanner and an electronic cash drawer triggered by the till software.  The SACS POS 2000 software solution was chosen for the till software.  This fully integrates with the Sage Line 50 accounting software to provide on-line real time stock updates and product and pricing information for the till. Comprehensive reporting is available, including z totals and sales analysis from the till, and detailed stock reports from Sage.
